Shalen Eggleston participates in mission trip to San Francisco

2015 Apr 6

Shalen Eggleston, a native of Newport News, VA and student at Trevecca Nazarene University was part of a team that went on a mission trip to San Francisco. Ten Trevecca students went to the San Francisco Bay Area on March 8th through the 14th to minister to poverty-stricken immigrants, the homeless, and patients of HIV. The group went to two different service sites each day, worked at a food bank, spent time on the street talking with homeless people, delivered meals to shut-ins, and volunteered at a day school and a hospital. "It’s time to reach out and help our community and it can start right here, right now in our own neighborhoods. Help someone. Save a life." said Eggleston. Eggleston, junior and dramatic arts and commercial music major, is member of Vocal Edge choir, TNU's Drama Department, and Improv Club. She is a graduate of Woodside High School and is the daughter of Brian and Eve Eggleston.
